Shoddy Barratt Homes

RESIDENTS of a new Barratt estate claim the house-builder has gone against planning approval for their homes to save cash.

Paula Walter and John Davies (above), backed by other residents of The Haven, claim Barratt Homes promoted 37 top-of-the-range Selsdon properties for sale after being granted planning permission for the house type but actually built bottom-of-the-range Sutton homes.

Barratt home builders are the worst builders in the business!! The houses are cheap, poorly built and the customer care is horrendous !! I have lived in my Barratt home for seven years and after we had more or less replaced every original fitting initially installed by Barattswe then noticed our garden was sinking!!! We contacted customer care who sent out their representative James Nichols who agreed that the work was shoddy and he would try his best for us!!!!! What a joke!! We still have not heard a thing! Months have passed and I have not been informed by Mr NIchols of any updates what so ever, despite calling him myself more than 20 times!!! Eight gardens in total are sinking in our street purely down to cutting costs and incompitent builders!!! So my advice avoid Barratt homes at all costs their houses are poor but the service is worse!!!!

Hmm, anyone got any issues with water ingression from the stormy weather we,ve been having? Barratt flats built 7 yrs ago.
Surely it is not too much to expect a modern building to stay dry inside when it rains outside!! Is it??

any feedback would be appreciated. thankyou
