Busy week
Well, that was a busy week.
After the Persimmon debacle we started looking at other new build homes again. After a considerable amount of hunting we’ve found a place on a development with Crest Nicholson (warning: Flash heavy website).
As is the way of things it involves a couple of compromises — there’s only a single garage, not the double we wanted, and the garden’s north facing (but we’ve already checked that it does get a lot of sun), so that’s all OK. And it’s got everything else — study so I can work from home, big kitchen, dining room… and five bedrooms. Now that’s technically one more than we need, but I’m already thinking all sorts of photography-studio related thoughts.
So yesterday the deposit went down. I’ve now got a metric buttload of paperwork to look through, and all manner of planning to do. It’s one of the last houses to be ready on this development, which means we could be moving in 6 to 8 weeks, so there’s no time to hang about.
