… to have received a phone call from Crest Nicholson explaining that there’s another delay. Stephen in Customer Relations has told me that the work that was supposed to be complete today will now be complete this Friday. On the upside…


… this should (apparently) also include replacing the unit under the sink and fixing the leak at the dormer ceiling.

Apparently they forgot to put a mastic seal around an important point, and the rain’s been leaking in. Since the plaster’s blown they’ll have to dig all that out and refix it.

I’ve asked them to inspect every other point around the house which should be sealed in this way and verify, in writing, that they’re all correctly sealed.
