Hard hats and neon yellow safety jackets were handed out early. We sat around waiting a little for everyone to turn up. The earlier bunch had been in and were still milling about asking questions. Soon, we were all gathered, given a short briefing about safety and then it was off to our first inspection of the site. Well, not quite inspection, more of a look-see.

We met a couple of new neighbours, pleased to know some of the people who will be living in the area. Husband and I found the visit thoroughly enjoyable, we got to peep into other people’s apartments. Ours weren’t quite finished yet, only the skeleton was up but nevertheless it gave us the buzz of excitement.

Site manager told us Southwark council were holding up electricity supply or something to that extent. Well, that was close to 3 weeks ago now.. hopefully they’ve sorted it out. Expectation is now for completion this side of Christmas. Fingers crossed!!
