Not too happy about snagging

Phoned the sales office at the site to let them know that we had exchanged contracts. During the conversation I mentioned that I would be having a snagging inspection completed. The agent went out of her way to explain the various snagging checks that they do and that it was a waste of my money in her opinion. I politely pointed out that whilst I accepted that DWH would inspect the property I felt that such a significant purchase warranted an independent and unbiased checking over. Whilst being less than impressed she conceded that I have a legal interest in the property and that they could not stop me having the inspection carried out.

We have exchanged contracts

Got the all-important call today from our solicitors to confirm that we had exchanged contracts on our house on the standard ten day Notice Period.

Missing paperwork

Our solicitor phoned to confirm that some documentation is missing regarding some works carried out on our property. This was quickly resolved after parting with the princely sum of £35 at the local building control office for copies of the missing certificates. Once again the ball is back in DWH court.

Exchange Deadline

Our exchange deadline was looming so I decided to give our solicitors a nudge. They confirmed that we had done everything that we could and that they were awaiting a response from DWH solicitors.
